MSP Mark McDonald bounces into action with Jordon Kirkwood and Laura Foley ahead of a day aimed at raising awareness of autism.

Mr McDonald, who has a young son with autism, joined the youngsters, both of whom have the condition, to call on people to get on their trampolines, space hoppers and pogo sticks today as the National Autistic Society Scotland supports World Autism Awareness Day.

More than 58,000 people in Scotland have the condition but many find leisure and sports facilities unwelcoming.

A lot of sufferers find bouncing a fun and therapeutic activity, so a series of Bounce for Autism events are being held to promote awareness.
