PRIME Minister David Cameron has described the death of a 12-year-old girl who was killed by a collapsed changing room wall in her school PE block as "absolutely shocking".
His comments came following the tragedy involving Keane Wallis-Bennett, a pupil at Liberton High School in Edinburgh, as her family paid tribute to their "princess who dreamed of being Prime Minister".
Keane's death, which happened on Tuesday morning, was raised at Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons by Edinburgh South MP Ian Murray, whose constituency includes the school.
Mr Murray said: "I'm sure the Prime Minister and the whole House would wish to send their condolences to the headteacher Stephen Kelly, the staff, teachers and pupils at the school, her friends and of course her family."
Mr Cameron replied: "This was an absolutely shocking accident that people will have seen across the country, and their hearts will go out to the family and all those involved in the school."
