SCOTS businessman John Provan celebrates with trainer Dr Richard Newland and their horse, Pineau De Re, after the animal raced to victory in the Grand National.

The Glaswegian, who now lives in Derbyshire, bought the horse with Dr Newland, a GP who also runs a small training yard.

Pineau De Re and jockey Leighton Aspell won at odds of 25-1. Mr Provan, who was once an amateur rider but now runs a print and packaging firm, said: "It's a dream come true - a dream that we've had for about 30 years."
