A MAN has appeared in court charged with murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in the street outside his home.

Connor Cleave died in the early hours of Tuesday following the alleged attack in Simon Crescent, Methilhill, Fife.

Yesterday Jamie Anderson Wishart appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court charged with a series of offences related to Connor's death. He is accused of murdering the teen, as well as facing charges of assault, assault to injury, breach of bail and possessing an offensive weapon.

Wishart made no plea or declaration during a brief private hearing on petition.

The case was continued for further examination and he was remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing next week.

Police were called to the scene on the outskirts of Methilhill at around 2.10am on Tuesday. Connor was rushed to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy but was pronounced dead.
