A newly-wed ran naked and hysterical through a hotel after her husband beat her up in their bridal suite.
Now groom Alexander Tulloch, 37, an offshore electrical engineer, is facing jail after he subjected his bride, Melissa Kirby to a flurry of punches on her body.
At Inverness Sheriff Court, he also admitted pinned her on a bed with his knees and pressing his hand down on her mouth and nose so she could barely breathe.
The incident happened on February 2 at the Kingsmills Hotel in Inverness, where the couple were celebrating with friends and family after marrying in Mauritius.
Tulloch will be sentenced on May 8.
