ART and antiques will help raise money for Scotland's only charity air ambulance during a series of themed valuation days.
The Scottish Antique & Arts Centre are raising funds for the charity air ambulance, based in Perth, by hosting a series of Specialist Valuation Days at their showrooms and visitor centres in Abernyte and Doune.
Members of the public are invited to bring items of Pacific or African art to the Scottish Antique & Arts Centre in Abernyte on Thursday, where Dr Robert Bustard will be on hand to offer valuations in exchange for a £2 donation.
Dr Bustard will also display pieces including a mask from the Mende people of Sierra Leone, a magnificent carving of an Ancestor from Papua New Guinea, a wooden figure believed to be a Fertility God from Easter Island and a pair of Baule Figures from West Africa. Valuations will be available from 11am to 3pm.
Margaret Clark, senior manager at the Scottish Antique and Arts Centre, said: "We are delighted to be doing something to assist their fund-raising activities.
A valuation day for ceramics will also be held at the Scottish Antique & Arts centre in Doune on May 22, with events on June 19 and September 18 in Abernyte and in Doune on August 21.
