COMEDIAN Frankie Boyle is laughing all the way to the bank after his company doubled its profits to more than £1.6 million.

The controversial stand-up's personal company has just posted figures for the last year.

The Glasgow-born comic's earnings have rocketed since he shot to fame on the BBC panel show Mock the Week in 2005. He has coined in a fortune from TV appearances, programmes and sell-out tours. Latest accounts for his company Gentleman Artist show the firm has assets of £1,949,651. That is made up of £1,478,596 held in the bank and £471,055 owed by debtors. Boyle, 41, owes £332,494 to unnamed creditors within a year leaving him with profits of £1,617,517, almost double the previous year's £848,784.
