Two men are being sought by police after a woman was sexually attacked near a cemetery.

The woman was subjected to the serious sex assault near Grandsable Cemetery in Polmont, Falkirk, at around 3pm on April 2.

Police said she was injured in the attack and described her as "very distressed".

Detectives said they are now looking to trace two men who were seen in the area after receiving new information on the attack.

The first man is described as around 44 years old, 5ft 4ins with a medium build. He has grey/brown hair, described as thinning and balding, and he had teeth missing. He was wearing a black zip-up rain jacket, dark jeans and white trainers.

The second man is described as about 45 years old, around 5ft 6ins with heavy build, shaved short dark hair and clean-shaven. He was wearing dark jeans, a jacket and dark gloves.

Detective Inspector Hugh Louden said: "This attack happened close to a busy junction and we are looking for anyone with any information to get in touch."
