Stickers will be added to a fleet of coaches to remind cyclists about safety near the vehicles.

Coach operator National Express is working with charity Sustrans on the scheme to alert riders to the dangers of undertaking.

Two designs have been shortlisted and people can vote on which one they want to see on the stickers.

The first shows an arrow warning cyclists about passing on the left-hand side. The other includes a large eye, focusing riders' attention on the coach driver's blind spot.

Tom Stables, managing director of National Express UK, said: "Safety is our number one priority and we are constantly looking for innovative ways to make the roads safer for all users."
