Police are searching for a man who has been missing for almost two weeks.

Ian Nicoll was last seen near the Shell Garage on Roxburgh Road in Glenrothes, Fife, at 10.55pm on Tuesday April 29 in his blue Skoda Fabia.

The 37-year old has not been seen or heard from since and police said concern is now growing for his welfare.

It is thought he may have left Fife and travelled south to the London area.

Police Scotland appealed for information about his whereabouts.

Chief Inspector Nicola Shepherd said: "We are keen to establish Ian's whereabouts as soon as possible and would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him since the 29th of April to come forward.

"Whilst we believe he may have left Fife and travelled south to the London area he may have stopped somewhere on that route, and so we are keen to hear from members of the public who recognise his description.

"In addition, we would appeal to Ian to get in touch with friends, family or the police and let us know you are safe and well."

Mr Nicoll is described as being of white Scottish appearance, 6ft 1in and of medium build.

He has red/auburn hair which is in a short/shaved style and also has a short trimmed beard and moustache.

When last seen he was wearing jeans, an orange T-shirt and a black/dark grey jumper, although his clothing may have changed.
