MEMBERS of the Gramophone Jass Band, Tea Pad Orchestra and Pokey LaFarge get into the swing of the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival.

The musicians played atop Calton Hill to kick off the event programme, which will include more than 140 gigs at 13 venues from July 18 to 27. It will feature performances from Jools Holland, Van Morrison, and Bill Wyman.

Festival chairman Brian Fallon said: "This is the most ambitious programme to date."
