BIFFY Clyro have taken part in a question and answer session to pass on tips to youngsters as part of Radio 1 Academy.

The band are among a number of music, business and comedy stars taking part in the event at the University of Glasgow's Queen Margaret Union, which started on Saturday and finishes today.

The Academy has been organised by BBC Learning, with 700 free spaces or youngsters. People taking part include Kevin Bridges, Emeli Sande and Sir Richard Branson.

It is being held ahead of the Big Weekend on May 24-25 at Glasgow Green, which includes Coldplay, Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora and Paolo Nutini.
