Two people have been detained by police after a man was injured in a disturbance.

The 24-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and arm following the incident in Glenmoy Terrace in Forfar, Angus, at around 10pm yesterday.

His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman have been detained in connection with the incident and are assisting with ongoing inquiries, Police Scotland said.

Officers are continuing their investigation at the scene today and have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
