The Scottish Recovery Network (SRN) is to launch a new project to use writing to help people affected by mental health problems.

Write to Recovery is a website designed by the SRN in response to a growing body of evidence surrounding the important role writing, and listening to and learning from the stories of others plays in helping people recover from mental health difficulties.

The website's launch at the Scottish Storytelling Centre in Edinburgh next month will also mark SRN's 10th anniversary.

Simon Bradstreet, SRN Director, said: "Write to Recovery offers an important new tool as we continue to push for a Scotland where mental health recovery can be a reality for all."

The launch will feature author Linda Gillard.

She wrote a Kindle bestseller titled House of Silence, which was downloaded 20,000 times in its first year.

Ms Gillard, from the Black Isle, has also previously shared her recovery story with SRN.
