A LORRY driver who died in a road crash has been described by his family as a "true gentleman".

Relatives of Robert Maclellan, from Tain, said they were heartbroken after the 65-year-old's death in an accident on the A92 between Crossgates and Cowdenbeath junctions in Fife on Monday afternoon.

In a statement, his family said: "We knew him as Bobby and his friends knew him as Freddie, and he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an old school trucker and true gentleman who loved his job and was known and respected throughout the country."

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
