A woman has been injured after being attacked by a man in the early hours of the morning.
The 24-year-old was left with minor injuries after the assault in St Leonards Bank in Perth, near to Craigie Cross, at around 3.30am today.
Police Scotland said inquiries are ongoing and a man aged in his 40s is being detained.
Officers appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious to contact them.
