A man has been arrested after police seized heroin worth more than £2 million.

The 42-year-old is being held in connection with the recovery of 31 kilos of the class A drug in Glasgow last night.

Officers acting on intelligence arrested the man in Doncaster Street, Maryhill, at around 7.30pm.

Police said the haul has an estimated street value of more than £2 million.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.
