The family of a woman killed by a reversing car at a garden centre have criticised a sentence of 300 hours unpaid work given to the driver.
Rosemary Milroy, 54, who suffers multiple sclerosis, pleaded guilty to causing 63-year-old shopper Alison Hall's death by careless driving at MGM Garden Centre in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire
Milroy, of Darvel, was also disqualified from driving for five years at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court following the incident in December 2011.
The victim's widower George Hall described the sentence as a joke, adding: "She killed one person, nearly killed me and another chap was injured.
"Even a token gesture with a fine would have meant more than 300 hours work and a five-year ban. It's destroyed the whole family."
