A TEAM of cyclists will set off from Edinburgh Castle to place poppies at 100 war memorials across the UK to mark the centenary of the First World War.

The 24-hour challenge will see seven friends bike 100 miles placing a knitted or crocheted poppy at each site. The WW100 Challenge team aims to raise £100,000 for Parkinson's UK, finishing at the Cenotaph in London on June 29.
