INDUSTRY leaders from across the world will gather in Glasgow next week for a major international cybercrime conference.

More than 70 delegates from the UK, Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand and the US will attend the two-day International Conference on Cybercrime, Computer Security and Digital Forensics at the University of Strathclyde on Monday and Tuesday.

Those attending the conference will include academics, representatives from Police Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, NCCGroup and security industry professionals.

Dr George R S Weir, ­Cyberforensics 2014 ­chairman and lecturer at Strathclyde University, who has organised the conference, said: "The threat of cybercrime is increasingly recognised as a threat to individuals and organisations across the globe.
