THE curtain has come down on one of Glasgow's biggest festivals.
Newly revamped Kelvingrove Bandstand hosted the finale of the West End Festival with singer Michelle McManus headlining.
A day of musical performances saw ex-MSP Pauline McNeill kick off the day while community choir Local Vocals also sang.
Unsigned bands Old Bohemia and Diana Schad won a competition to take part in the closing event, which also saw John Beattie Band play.
The five-piece Americana band was made up of BBC broadcaster and rugby hero John, weather presenter Judith Ralston and BBC Scotland reporter Catriona Renton.
But the highlight of the day was Honest Sam and the Dealers, a seven-piece country band with vocalist Michelle.
Hundreds turned out for the final day of the month-long festival, which featured 400 events in 80 venues.
Now in its 19th year, the cultural extravaganza has attracted thousands of people and provided a multimillion boost to the local economy.
More than 1.1 million visitors have attended the West End Festival since it began in 1996.
