A MOBILE app developed in Scotland has the potential to help millions of farmers in East Africa.

The VetAfrica app will allow vets, farmers and others in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and Tanzania diagnose diseases quickly and identify effective drugs.

The app was developed by Glasgow-based technology company Cojengo, in partnership with software giant Microsoft and its 4Afrika initiative. Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the company was a "shining example" of a new generation of creative Scottish companies.
