THREE men have been arrested over alleged links to serious and organised crime.

Police searched four properties yesterday as part of an "intelligence-led operation" in Glasgow and Falkirk.

Three men, aged 29, 30 and 31, were arrested following the searches.

A force spokeswoman said: "A 30-year-old man was arrested following the search of a property in Selvieland Road, Penilee, a 31-year-old man was arrested following a search in Alma Street, Falkirk, and a 29-year-old man was arrested following a search in Springfield Road, Dalmarnock.

"Another house in Darnaway Avenue, Glasgow, was searched but there were no arrests following the search.

"All have been detained in police custody in connection with allegedly being involved in serious and organised crime."

They are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday.
