Two Scottish children have begun filming a new series for CBeebies that aims to inspire a passion for history.
Evie Brassington from Edinburgh and Roddy Gilkison from Glasgow star alongside Harry Potter actress Gemma Jones in Teacup Travels, which will introduce pre-school children to ancient history and archaeology.
The series is being filmed on location at Gardener's Cottage in Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens and charts the adventures of Charlotte and Elliot after they visit their Great Aunty Lizzie .
Kay Benbow, controller for CBeebies, said the series "combines story telling with high adventure in a way that will inspire and encourage children to want to learn more about life in ancient times".
Supported by Creative Scotland, the show has been created by Leith-based film company Plum Films and will be shown in early 2015.
Some of CBeebies' most successful shows have been filmed in and around Scotland, including Balamory, which was made on location in Tobermory.
Katie Morag, based on the best-selling books, is filmed on the Isle of Lewis and Me Too!, based in the fictional community of Riverseafingal in Scotland, is partly filmed in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Science show Nina and the Neurons is also filmed in Glasgow and has scenes set at Glasgow Science Centre.
