LEGENDARY comedy troupe Monty Python have said farewell to fans around the world in a final show-stopping performance -ending in a sing-a-long of Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.
In the last show of a run of 10, performances John Cleese, Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle and Terry Jones appeared on stage at London's O2 Arena, while audiences watched in more than 2000 cinemas around the world.
Comic stars including David Walliams, Steve Coogan, Eddie Izzard, Martin Freeman and Mike Myers were all in attendance as the stars performed classic sketches including The Lumberjack Song and the Fish Slapping sketch.
Ahead of the final One Down, Five To Go show, Eric Idle tweeted: "The Final Night of Monty Python goes live round the world tonight. There won't be a dry seat in the house. Thank you all for everything."
The final performance was also broadcast live on UK television on channel Gold.
