A doctor who exposed himself on a bus in Glasgow has been struck off the medical register.

Dr Ihab Mohamed Fouad Anwar has been suspended with immediate effect after a misconduct hearing concluded he was not fit to practise.

The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service heard that Dr Anwar, originally from Egypt, had sexually harassed a female passenger on an overnight coach journey from London Victoria to Aberdeen on March 1, 2012.

The tribunal heard Dr Anwar had invaded the woman's personal space by "raising and angling" his pelvis toward her and then moving it "back and forth against Witness A's body". He then exposed himself.

Dr Anwar, who practises in Colchester, Essex, has 28 days to lodge an appeal before he will be erased from the register.
