MEMBERS of the cast of Children of the Smoke take part in some last-minute rehearsals before the show, which is an anthem to people descended from the Highland and Islands.

The 75-minute production, in Gaelic, explores the importance of the indigenous Scottish language and its links to culture and identity, with a tale focusing on love, family, exile, loss and hope. Nine singers, 10 musicians and four dancers are performing in the show, a free event being held at Glasgow Green at 7.30pm on Monday.
