A HUGE section of HMS Prince of Wales has arrived in the Firth of Forth as the final assembly work on the second Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carrier is due to get under way.

The 8,000 tonne part of the hull, Lower Block 03, was taken 600 miles round the north coast of Scotland from Glasgow to Rosyth.

The block weighs more than an entire Type 45 destroyer and forms the mid-section of the aircraft carrier's hull from the keel to the hangar deck.
