A GARAGE manager caught with heroin worth more than £1 million has been jailed for four years and four months.

Greig Sneddon was found to have high-purity narcotics in a polythene bag with "Thank You" written on it. Sneddon, 33, was also found to have commercial amounts of cocaine and bulking agents.

Lord Burns said at the High Court in Edinburgh that Sneddon, formerly of Kilpatrick Avenue, Paisley, would have faced a six and a half year sentence but for his guilty plea.

Defence counsel Kevin McCallum told the court: "He agreed stupidly to store materials for others."
