A FURTHER 10,000 tickets are being released for the Still Game shows at the SSE Hydro venue in Glasgow.

Last night the Hydro announced an extra 500 seats were available per show after its producers established that a bigger audience could be entertained for the shows.

All the new seats are said to have "fantastic" views of the stage.

A statement from the organisers said: "With show creators Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill having now completed the top-secret script, show organisers and production designers have been able to look at the logistics of the staging, sets and seating and have secured an additional 500 seats per show."

To date, the show has sold nearly 200,000 seats across its 21-performance run.

The stall seats cost either £30 or £45, excluding any booking fees.

The statement added: "With an additional 10,000 seats now going on sale, anyone yet to secure their tickets will be given a second chance to purchase top-class seats."

Still Game, with a new script written especially for the show, are at the Hydro from September 19 until October 10.

The new seats will go on sale at 9am tomorrow.

Hemphill and Kieran recently revealed the possibility of a television comeback for the series in the "next couple of years" during a live audience Q&A during BBC Scotland's Commonwealth Quay.

Hemphill said: "We're talking to them at the moment about doing another series, but these wheels turn slowly.

"They seem very keen and are very supportive. Hopefully we'll be back on TV at some point in the next couple of years."
