A BUSINESSMAN who has an incurable form of cancer has raised more than £100,000 for a cancer charity and has now written his life story to raise more funds.
Neil Stevenson, whose family owned the Edinburgh Woollen Mill, decided to try and raise cash for Macmillan Cancer Support after being told his treatment for myeloma had not been successful. He persuaded 50 friends to donate £1,000 each to the charity and matched the sum with his own pledge while writing his book.
Macmillan's fundraising manager Angela McCormack, said Neil's actions were "inspirational".
