POLICE have praised thousands of music fans who attended the 11th annual Belladrum Festival in the Highlands.

There were only three arrests, one of which was for a breach of the peace, during the two-day event, and a small number of drug seizures.

Five missing children were also swiftly reunited with their families.

Sir Tom Jones and Scots band Frightened Rabbit headlined the event, near Beauly. The event commander, chief inspector Mark Mackay, thanked the fans for their "friendly approach and good nature".
