One of Scotland's longest-running music festivals is to be piped into thousands of homes by a radio station.

The Glasgow International Piping Festival begins today with dozens of performances taking place across the city until the weekend.

Celtic Music Radio 95 FM is to broadcast Piping Live! from the National Piping Centre each night as a range of well-known acts take to the main stage.

The festival club begins tonight at 10pm and will follow each evening until Friday.

There will be with full coverage on every evening on the station.

Performances from Andy May, Julien Cartonnet, Stefce Stojkovski and The Kyle Warren Band are expected throughout the week as the festival aims to celebrate the Homecoming 2014 event in style.

Other displays will also be taking place across the city before the World Pipe Band Championship Finals at Glasgow Green on Saturday.

Tickets for the Piping Live! festival club are £5 for each night.
