TEACHERS at Inverclyde schools can be forgiven if they cannot tell some of their new intake apart.

A record 15 sets of twins - including Aimee and Sophie O'Neill, who will be attending King's Oak Primary in Greenock - are due to arrive this week.

They will join 69 pairs already being taught in the area's 20 schools. The council's education and communities convener Terry Loughran said: It is amazing to think we have 15 sets starting in just 10 of our schools, so it is likely to be a challenge for the teachers telling them apart."
