RORY Bremner plays pool with two young people supported by the charity Quarriers as he backs the organisation's joint initiative with the Ryder Cup.

The comedian, an ambassador of the Ryder Cup charity's life coaching initiative, dropped into Quarriers' Stopover Service, which provides supported accommodation for homeless people between the ages of 16 and 25.

The charity runs Coaching for Life, which offers guidance for people facing problems such as homelessness, emotional trauma and neglected education. Participants then work with a life coach to focus on new activities, finding education or employment opportunities.
