SCOTTISH Ballet is preparing to quit its Glasgow base and launch its popular Christmas production in Edinburgh for the first time in a decade.
The company has chosen to perform The Nutcracker, which was thought to have been seen for the last time when the curtain came down on its Edinburgh run 18 years ago.
Audiences will enjoy the first chance to see two of the stars of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games opening ceremony - principle dancers Christopher Harrison and Sophie Martin - who captivated viewers with their pas de deux set to a cover version of The Proclaimers' 500 miles.
