End of the Road
Producers working on Waterloo Road had an end-of-term feeling as the curtain came down on the Greenock-set BBC1 drama after 10 series yesterday.
Ratings for the series have fallen to fewer than four million, prompting executives to call time on the show, which controversially relocated a few years ago from a set in Rochdale to Greenock Academy.
The former school site is due for demolition.
