Caitlin Tracey surveys the imposing 9ft high Lego model of the Forth Road Bridge.

A total 10,000 bricks were used to create the model, which has gone on display at the National Museum of Scotland on Chambers Street in Edinburgh.

It has been commissioned by the Forth Estuary Transport Authority, as part of celebrations to mark its 50th birthday.

Edinburgh-based artist Warren Elsmore created a cross-section of the bridge's deck, supporting steel truss and tower.
