MORE than one-quarter of people say the winter floods that hit the UK increased their belief in man-made climate change, a survey found.

Half the people polled for the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) said flooding in early 2014 made them more convinced the climate was changing, and 27 per cent said it increased their belief humans were the main cause. The findings, contradicted by studies showing upwards of 90 per cent of climate scientists believe humans cause global warming, has "echoes" of the MMR controversy, the ECIU said.
