LAUGHTER filled a funeral home as family and friends said a final farewell to the girl "with the most infectious laugh in the world".
Knock knock jokes from one of Charlotte Hornby's favourite childhood books were read out in the humanist service in Inverness for the 24-year-old who drowned in on August 17.
It is thought the St Andrew's University geography graduate's death was an accident but police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the discovery of her body in the Ness Islands beauty spot in Inverness.
Humanist celebrant Alan Smurthwaite read tributes from friends to the 250-strong gathering of brightly clad mourners. They included one which said: "Her laugh was the loudest in the world and so infectious."
After the service, the cortege travelled the 12-mile journey to Fortrose, where her parents Harry and Patricia and younger brother Edward lived, for a private burial in the local cemetery.
