SCOTLAND curling star Eve Muirhead has held a training camp at Braehead ice rink as the sports aims to capitalise on the success of the men's silver medal winning team at Sochi Winter Olympics and the women, who are currently world champions.

The star was at the curling rink, near Glasgow, for a GB Olympic squad training camp and is urging people to go along to try out the sport this month and next at the venue. Eve, skip of the world champions, said: "Curling is now a cool sport to do and it's lots of fun. It's also a very social sport as well as competitive."
