A portrait of a girl in Afghanistan with a skateboard is one of four images shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize.

Jessica Fulford-Dobson, who has worked for Vogue, submitted Skate Girl after photographing young people taking part in projects in the war-torn country.

The others on the shortlist are Birgit Püve from Estonia, Blerim Racaj from Kosovo and Londoner David Titlow.

The winner will be announced on November 11, ahead of an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
