SCOTTISH Labour leadership hopeful Ken Macintosh has produced a list of party members who he claims have been won over by his campaign.

The MSP, widely seen as the underdog in the battle with Kezia Dugdale, said that the 10 members were "only a sample" and that he was succeeding in convincing undecided voters to back him.

He this week launched a 'members tour' and has claimed the race to succeed Jim Murphy remains wide open, despite bookmakers offering odds of 1/50 on a Dugdale victory and his opponent winning support of the majority of Labour parliamentarians and local parties.

Mr Macintosh said: "For the first time the new Scottish Labour leader will be chosen by individual party members in every single part of the country. It's clear that the vast majority of members are still undecided, that's why I am taking my detailed plan for change and my positive vision for Scotland's future directly to them.

"I'm really pleased that undecided members are responding well to my plan to take Scottish Labour in a new direction. I have spelled out in some detail the changes I would like to make, but under my leadership, it's our members who will have more say and more control over our party.

"I think people are crying out for Labour to be more positive and to talk about Scotland's future. Not only do I intend to be more forward looking, I want to win new members and new supporters to our cause and not just rely on those who have traditionally voted Labour."
