1) Olympic champion Chris Boardman and expert driving instructor Blaine Walsh on rule 163 of the Highway Code

The short film, funded by the Bicycle Association and British Cycling, explains the importance of rule 163 of the Highway Code which states that motorists should give cyclists the same amount of space as they would another car when overtaking.

It outlines the need to overtake in a safe manner and respect the "dynamic envelope" – a term used to describe the exclusion zone which should surround a cyclist riding on the road.

There’s also a companion video on why it is safer to overtake cyclists who are riding side-by-side – two abreast – rather than strung out in a long line. Share these clips with fellow road-users.
