TV stars Joey Essex and Spencer Matthews are among the celebrities battling it out to become the new Milk Tray Man.
They have joined Shaun WIlliamson and sports personalities Thom Evans, Robbie Savage and Denise Lewis in a bootcamp that will see them compete in backbreaking challenges, such as mimicking the traditional Milk Tray Man pose.
Jason Coombes - the man who has held the role in the Cadbury's TV adverts since the 1980s - and his female counterpart, Kelly Brennan, will be putting the candidates through their paces and judging how well they fit into his characteristic black polo-neck top.
But Mr Coombes is not giving away any clues about who might be worthy of the job. He said: "I had the job of scrutinising each applicant to see if they were the right fit.
"While it seems the candidates can all pose in character, and some could even take on adventurous stunts, I'm not sure we've found our winner.
"It's such a difficult role as now it isn't just about action - we want to find someone who really has that thoughtful and caring side to them."
So, despite hours of gruelling challenges it seems the search is still very much on, and there is still time to apply if you think you, or someone you know, could fit the bill. Apply at www.newmilktrayman.com.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
