Scottish comic writer and film producer Mark Millar would like the pop star Rihanna to star in his next Hollywood movie.

Millar, the creator of Wanted and Kick-Ass, would be perfect for the female lead of Zoe in his next creation Huck, which is expected to make the movie from comic to screen.The Herald: This girl's selfie earned her an invitation to star in Rihanna's music video

Mark, 45, from Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, has already said he would like Channing Tatum to play the main role, described as a cross-between Superman and Forrest Gump.

He said: “I think Rihanna will be perfect for this.

“She would be ideal as the female lead as the beautiful girl in town who Huck has a major crush on.”

The Barbadian singer’s only previous acting experience was playing petty officer Cora Raikes in the 2012 film Battleship.The Herald: The comic book writer Mark Millar pictured at the Glasgow Print Studio. The comic, created by Millar with artist Rafael Albuquerque, goes on sale this week.

Huck is a superhuman but of simple intelligence, who tries to anonymously perform one good deed per day.

When he is revealed to the world by a reporter, Huck finds himself being hunted by villains.

Millar worked for DC and Marvel, writing for The Ultimates, Old Man Logan and Civil War.

The last comic of his to be made into a movie was Secret Service, adapted by Matthew Vaughn into Kingsman: The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth.
