An investigation has been launched after a woman was sexually assaulted near a city landmark.

The 20-year-old's attacker lured her to the location with a bogus modelling shoot.

The 20-year-old woman is understood to have arranged to meet a man she believed to be a photographer at a rendezvous point in Glasgow's West End.

The Herald:

Sources said the pair are believed to have met online.

They arranged to meet near Kelvingrove Art Gallery for a 'modelling session' yesterday.

However, the attacker battered the young woman before sexually assaulting in a lane her near to Kelvin Way.

A manhunt is now underway to find the culprit behind the attack.

It happened at around 8pm yesterday and police have urged any witnesses to come forward.

The sex attacker is thought to have convinced the victim into a secluded spot, where he carried out the assault.
