A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of another man outside a Glasgow flat.

Jamie Johnstone, 21, from Cranhill in the city's east end, died after being found with serious injuries in Balbeggie Street, Sandyhills, on January 16.

Nico Donnelly made no plea or declaration during a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court today where he was charged with murder.

The 22-year-old, from Cambuslang, was remanded in custody ahead of another appearance expected within eight days, the Crown Office confirmed.
