A 45-YEAR-OLD woman died after a car and coal lorry crashed in South Lanarkshire.
The female driver died at the scene, at Thankerton on the A73 earlier today.
Her Citroen Berlingo was involved in a crash with a coal lorry shortly after 7.30pm.
An 18-year-old passenger in the car was taken to Wishaw General Hospital with minor injuries.
The 56-year-old driver of the lorry was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101.
