Police Scotland have launched an investigation after a car was found on fire in Inverness on Saturday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to attend a vehicle on fire in Mackay Road, Inverness.

On arrival they extinguished the fire of a red Renault Laguna which was parked on the road.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time but Police Scotland say the circumstances are believed to be suspicious.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information which may assist with the investigation.
